ETIP SNET National Webinar Series – First Edition: SmartGrids Austria

ETIP SNET invites you to its first National Webinar organised with TPSG Austria.  The aim is to share best practices with national stakeholders.

The topic of our first webinar will be:
«Interoperability of Data Exchanges in Smart Energy Systems»

The European Technology and Innovation Platform for Smart Networks for Energy Transition is pleased to invite you to the first in the new series of National Webinars.

For the 1st edition in the series, ETIP SNET will focus on AUSTRIA and is to have the  Technology Platform Smart Grids Austria (TPSG Austria) present their initiative on Interoperability of Data Exchanges in Smart Energy Systems  on the 18th of January 2018.

This ETIP SNET Webinar Series is dedicated to the presentation of national and regional platforms and provides the opportunity for the exchange of best practices, recommendations and knowledge sharing among entities.

To establish a link between national and regional activities, give stakeholders exposure at a European level and ensure an interoperable transition of the energy system in Europe, this Webinar will focus on:

  • the interoperability of ICT systems as enablers for innovative services in the energy sector
  • the presentation of lessons learned from the healthcare sector: Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) methodology & organisation
  • the Connectathon: unique interoperability testing events
  • the vision of IES Europe with reference to the SET Plan
  • offering possibilities for engagement and participation
  • enabling potential cooperation and partnerships with relevant platforms and stakeholders

Nikos Hatizargyriou, ETIP SNET Vice-Chairman , will first present the ETIP SNET’s scope and activities, as well as its Implementation Plan, listing the R&I short-term priorities in the field of smart energy systems, based upon the ETIP SNET R&I Roadmap 2017-2026.

Angela Berger, Managing Director of TPSG Austria , will then give a short overview of the activities of the platform and its objectives.

Valerie Reif (TPSG Austria), together with Matthias Frohner and Stefan Sauermann of UAS Technikum Wien, will present the Project “IES – Integrating the Energy System”.
