Under følger et utdrag fra beskrivelsen av prosjektet fra prosjektkoordinatoren ved Anglia Ruskin University:

The platform will be called: SHAPE-ENERGY, Social sciences and Humanities for Advancing Policy in European ENERGY. It represents a significant investment (2 million Euros) from the EU in energy research across Europe. The Platform will run from Jan/Feb 2017 for two years and involves 13 partners across Europe.

We have a very exciting programme of activities, including: multi-stakeholder workshops in over 10 countries, in partnership with local authorities; MEP-focused workshops in Brussels; conferences; Horizon 2020 sandpit activities; early career researcher summer schools; early career researcher secondments and exchanges; online debates between citizens and policymakers; a funding call for collaborative think pieces; a funding call for researchers to respond to an innovative ‘research design challenge’.

Ultimately we hope to bring European energy researchers/practitioners together around a commonly agreed framework for future interdisciplinary energy-related endeavours – this will, in part, be associated with a ‘call for evidence’ re. the future needs of this research area. SHAPE-ENERGY will also be providing the European Commission with recommendations for the future direction of the energy work programme in Horizon 2020.
